Critically acclaimed celebrity chef Ian Pengelley is the most exciting creator of Pan Asian food in the UK, and is recognised as one of the world’s leading chefs in this field. Having had his own named restaurant in Knightsbridge, he is now chef at Gilgamesh, as well as consulting chef for Mango Tree, and Pan Chai in Harrods Food Hall.
Ian has appeared regularly on Good Food Live, Saturday Kitchen and now appears on several other popular televised cookery shows including Master Chef. He is avery much sought after demonstration chef for the BBC’s Good Food show, Taste of London and the Liverpool Food Festival. Ian is also a guest chef on numerous other national and international food shows. Ian also consults for Oceania Cruises.
Ian’s recipes are easy to make, healthy (see the collagen meals later on in this proposal), and indescribably delicious. His range is incredibly wide, from the delicate Green Tea Brulée to ‘the world’s most fiery menu’.
Ian’s personality as a maverick is accessible and fun. He’s a walking paradox of Western man whose upbringing in Hong Kong puts him perfectly at ease with Eastern cooking; whose ‘bad boy’ image is balanced with consummate professionalism; whose straightforward cooking style contrasts with an alchemy that makes the food outstanding.
